Mount Road Baptist Church needed a comprehensive digital ecosystem that served multiple audiences: welcoming prospective visitors online, keeping the congregation informed, and providing staff with robust administrative tools.
The project involved engineering a highly responsive, performant React web application bundled with Vite. It features a bespoke public-facing architecture with integrated custom mapping to guide visitors effectively to their campus.
Additionally, a secure member portal was developed using Firebase, offering the congregation a dedicated space for announcements, event registration, and internal resources.

What we were up against.
The primary challenge was balancing the needs of a welcoming, modern public-facing website with the complex functional requirements of an internal member portal. The church's previous site was slow, difficult to update, and lacked modern integrations like dynamic calendars or interactive maps. Staff members required an easier way to update content without writing code or navigating a clunky CMS.
How we fixed it.
I developed a cohesive React/Vite web platform utilizing Tailwind CSS for a pristine, responsive design. Firebase was integrated to power a seamless administrative backend, allowing church staff to update event calendars and announcements effortlessly. A custom Google Maps integration was also implemented in the footer to provide visitors with intuitive, beautifully styled directions to the church campus.
